| Reverse description | A tetrastyle temple set upon a podium of three steps, depicted in frontal elevation with four columns supporting an entablature and pediment; a shield is displayed within the pediment. Within the temple's interior stands a male figure in military dress, facing right, holding a spear in the right hand and a Victory statuette in the left. The legend COM BIT appears divided in the field to either side of the temple, while the inscription ROM S P AVG is inscribed on the entablature of the temple itself, a distinctive epigraphic feature of this Bithynian koinon issue. |
