Reverse description A tetrastyle temple raised on a podium of three steps, depicted in frontal elevation with four columns supporting a pediment in which a shield is placed as decoration. Within the intercolumniation, a male figure in military dress stands facing right, holding a spear in his right hand and a Victory statuette in his left. The inscription COM - BIT appears in the field to either side of the temple, while the legend ROM S P AVG is inscribed in the entablature. The composition reflects the iconographic tradition of honoring the imperial cult through monumental temple architecture on Bithynian coinage.
