Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of the emperor Hadrian facing right, depicted from the rear, with drapery visible over the left shoulder. The portrait displays characteristic Hadrianic features including a full beard and laureate wreath. The encircling legend runs along the periphery of the flan in Latin characters. The bust is rendered in a vigorous, high-relief style typical of provincial coinage struck under the Koinon of Bithynia during the early to mid second century AD.
