| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, rendered with characteristic beard and detailed physiognomy in the Hellenistic provincial style. The effigy displays a richly textured laurel wreath and paludamentum draped over the left shoulder, with the cuirass visible beneath. A Greek imperial titulature legend encircles the bust, reading from the left, with the abbreviation PP (Pater Patriae) appearing in the lower field to the right of the bust. The portrait conveys the full imperial dignity accorded to Hadrian as Olympios, reflecting his divine associations promoted throughout the eastern provinces. |
