| Obverse description | Laureate head of Hadrian facing right, with drapery visible on the left shoulder. The effigy displays the emperor's characteristic close-cropped beard, rendered in the Hellenistic portraiture style typical of Alexandrian coinage. The obverse legend runs around the periphery in Greek script, identifying the emperor by his imperial titulature. The portrait is executed with fine detail consistent with early Hadrianic provincial issues from the Alexandrian mint. |
