Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Caracalla facing right, portrayed with youthful features. The laurel wreath is rendered in fine relief, with the paludamentum visible at the truncation. The surrounding Greek legend reads ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙ Μ ΑΥΡ ΑΝΤΩΝΕΙΝΟϹ ϹΕΒ, proclaiming his imperial titulature, and runs along the entire circumference of the flan.
