| Reverse description | Standing figure of Eleutheria (personification of Liberty/Freedom) depicted in full length facing left, draped in a long chiton and himation. She leans gracefully against a tall column with her right arm, while holding a wreath in her raised left hand and a long sceptre in her right. The figure is rendered in the classical Hellenistic style characteristic of Alexandrian tetradrachm coinage. The Greek legend ΕΛΕΥΘΕΡΙΑ is distributed in the field to either side of the figure. |
