Reverse description Full-length figure of Eirene (personification of Peace) standing facing, with head turned to the left, rendered in a fluid, lightly draped style characteristic of Alexandrian coinage. In her extended left hand she holds two ears of corn, symbolising abundance, while her right hand grasps a caduceus, the herald's staff entwined with serpents, held upright. The regnal date formula L Α (Year 1, corresponding to 96–97 AD) is inscribed in the field, divided on either side of the figure. A beaded border frames the design.
