| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Nero facing right, rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style. The portrait displays characteristic youthful features with curled hair beneath the laurel wreath. The circular Greek legend surrounds the effigy, reading ΝΕΡΩ ΚΛΑΥ ΚΑΙϹ ϹΕΒ ΓΕΡ ΑΥΤΟ, abbreviating his full imperial titulature. The flan is irregular and slightly oval in shape, typical of hammered Alexandrian tetradrachms of this period. |
