Obverse description Laureate head of Emperor Nero facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic portrait tradition as employed by the Alexandrian mint. The emperor's features are depicted with youthful idealization, the laurel wreath encircling his head in the imperial manner. The Greek legend surrounds the portrait in the field, abbreviated across multiple segments. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, characteristic of Alexandrian billon tetradrachms of the Neronian period.
