Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Nero facing right, portrayed in the Roman imperial tradition with finely detailed laurel wreath and characteristic Neronian physiognomy. The legend encircles the effigy in Greek characters, reading ΝΕΡΩ ΚΛΑΥ ΚΑΙϹ ϹΕΒ ΓΕΡ ΑΥΤΟ, identifying him as Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus Autokrator. The style is consistent with Alexandrian mint production of the early 60s AD, with a bold, high-relief portrait typical of the period.
