Obverse description Laureate bust of Emperor Nero facing right, depicted with characteristic youthful features and wearing a laurel wreath. The effigy shows the emperor with a draped paludamentum over the left shoulder, rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style. The circular Greek legend surrounds the portrait, reading ΝΕΡΩ ΚΛΑΥ ΚΑΙΣ ΣΕΒΑ ΓΕΡ ΑΥΤΟ, abbreviating the emperor's full titulature as Nero Claudius Caesar Sebastos Germanicus Autokrator.
