| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Macrinus facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Mesopotamian civic coinage. The emperor's effigy displays characteristic beard and facial features of Macrinus as known from Roman portraiture. A dotted border frames the field, and the Greek imperial titulature legend runs around the periphery of the flan. |
