| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of the Emperor Hadrian facing right, portrayed from behind, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder and segmented armour rendered in relief across the chest. The effigy is set within a beaded border, with the Greek imperial titulature disposed around the field. The portrait exhibits the characteristic Hadrianic beard and classical facial modelling typical of Alexandrian provincial coinage of the early second century AD. |
