Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, depicted from the rear, showing the elaborate folds of the paludamentum over the shoulder and the segmented plates of the cuirass. The effigy displays finely rendered curled hair beneath the laurel wreath, characteristic of Hadrianic portraiture. The Greek legend is disposed in two arcs around the bust within a beaded border. The overall style is consistent with Alexandrian tetradrachm coinage of the early second century AD.
