Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, depicted from the rear, showing the back of the cuirass and paludamentum. The emperor's characteristic curly hair and beard are visible beneath the laurel wreath. The encircling Greek legend is divided on either side of the effigy, reading ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙ - ΤΡΑΙ ΑΔΡΙΑ ϹΕΒ, abbreviating his imperial titulature. The portrait is rendered in the refined Alexandrian style typical of the early Hadrianic period.

Reverse description Draped bust of the syncretic deity Sarapis facing right, adorned with a tall kalathos (modius) atop his head and a laurel wreath, his long curling hair and full beard rendered with fine detail characteristic of Alexandrian coinage. The deity's drapery is visible at the shoulder. The regnal date legend L ΔΕΚΑΤΟΥ, denoting the tenth year of Hadrian's reign, is inscribed in the field to the left and around the right side of the bust.
