| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the rear, with paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The emperor's effigy displays finely modelled curls beneath the laurel wreath, characteristic of Hadrianic portraiture. The surrounding Greek legend is arranged in two groups separated by the bust. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, consistent with provincial hammered coinage of the Alexandrian mint. |
