| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, rendered three-quarter from the rear, displaying paludamentum fastened at the shoulder and pteryges at the lower cuirass. The emperor's effigy is depicted in the characteristic Alexandrian style with fine engraving of the laurel wreath and facial features. The Greek imperial legend is arranged in two groups around the periphery of the field. |
