Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, portrayed in three-quarter view seen from the rear, a characteristic Alexandrian die-cutting convention. The emperor's distinctive beard is rendered in fine relief, and the paludamentum is visible across the left shoulder. The Greek imperial titulature legend runs around the periphery of the flan in two segments. The flan is irregular and shows the typical broad, slightly convex fabric of Alexandrian provincial tetradrachms.
