| Obverse description | Laureate, cuirassed and draped bust of Antoninus Pius facing right, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder, the bust presented in a three-quarter rear view. The imperial effigy is rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style characteristic of early Antonine coinage. A continuous Greek legend surrounds the bust in the field. |

| Reverse description | Roma standing left, helmeted and in military attire, her right foot resting upon a shield set on the ground, holding a small figure of Nike in her extended right hand and a long spear in her left. To the lower left of the figure appears the regnal date formula L (Egyptian year symbol) and to the right the numeral Β (year 2), indicating the second regnal year of Antoninus Pius. The composition reflects the Hellenistic-Roman artistic tradition of the Alexandrian mint. |
