| Reverse description | Central trophy of arms composed of a cuirassed torso surmounted by a crested helmet, flanked on each side by a round shield, standing upon a base. At the foot of the trophy, two captive barbarians are depicted seated and bound, one to each side, their heads bowed in subjugation, symbolising Roman military victory. To the lower left of the trophy appears the regnal year symbol L (indicating 'year'), and to the right the Greek numeral Β (2), denoting Year 2 of Decius's reign (AD 250–251). The design is enclosed within a dotted border. |
