| Obverse description | Draped bust of Julia Mamaea facing right, wearing a stephane (diadem crown), presented within a beaded border. The effigy is rendered in the typical Alexandrian provincial style with visible drapery folds across the shoulder. The circumferential Greek legend reads ΙΟΥ ΜΑΜΑΙΑ ϹΕΒ ΜΗΤ ϹΕΒ Κ ϹΤΡΑ, identifying her as Julia Mamaea, Augusta, Mother of the Augustus and the Camp.
