Reverse description The emperor stands facing, head turned to right, depicted either radiate- or bare-headed and wearing the toga, extending a patera in his right hand as if performing a libation. To the right, a figure of Nike (Victory) stands facing left, holding a wreath over the emperor's head with one hand and a palm branch in the other, symbolising imperial triumph and divine favour. The regnal year legend L Ζ (Year 7, corresponding to 166–167 AD) appears in the field, serving as the Alexandrian dating convention. The composition follows the established Alexandrian ceremonial type associating the emperor with Victoria.
