Obverse description Laureate head of the Emperor Hadrian facing right, with drapery visible on the left shoulder. A crescent symbol appears to the right of the portrait in the field. The obverse legend, rendered in Greek characters, reads ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙ ΤΡΑΙ ΑΔΡΙΑ ϹΕΒ, identifying the emperor by his imperial titulature. The portrait is executed in the provincial Alexandrian style typical of tetradrachms and silver coinage of the early second century AD.
