| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of the emperor Hadrian facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from behind, with paludamentum and segmented cuirass visible. The imperial effigy displays characteristic Hadrianic portraiture with a short beard. The Greek legend ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙ - ΤΡΑΙ ΑΔΡΙΑ ϹΕΒ, abbreviating Autokrator Kaisar Traianus Hadrianus Sebastos, is disposed in two parts flanking the bust within a beaded border. |
