| Reverse description | The Canopic jar of Osiris (Canopus) depicted facing right, rendered as a characteristic ovoid vessel with a human head surmounted by a floral or plant-form crown, with decorative details on the body of the jar. The regnal year date L Ζ (Year 7, corresponding to 122–123 AD) appears divided in the field to the left and right of the central device. The type reflects the deeply Egyptian religious iconography favored by the Alexandrian mint, blending local cult imagery with Roman imperial coinage conventions. The whole is enclosed within a beaded border. |
