Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, viewed from behind, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The obverse legend in Greek characters reads ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙ ΤΡΑΙ ΑΔΡΙΑ ϹΕΒ, abbreviated from Αὐτοκράτωρ Καῖσαρ Τραιανὸς Ἁδριανὸς Σεβαστός, surrounding the imperial effigy. The portrait displays characteristic Hadrianic stylistic features of the Alexandrian mint, with a slightly coarser provincial execution typical of Egyptian tetradrachms. The field is largely plain, with the legend disposed in two segments flanking the bust.
