The regnal date L Γ (Year 3) appears in the left field, corresponding to the third year of Gordian III's reign in the Alexandrian calendar, equivalent to 239-240 AD. The composition follows established Alexandrian tetradrachm iconographic conventions for the depiction of the supreme deity. |
