| Reverse description | The god Nilus personified reclines to the left in a relaxed pose, his corpulent figure draped in flowing robes. He holds a reed stalk in his raised right hand and a cornucopia in his left arm, symbolizing fertility and abundance. A crocodile, emblematic of the Nile River, is depicted beside him. The regnal date legend L ΚΒ, denoting Year 22 of Antoninus Pius's reign, appears in the field. |

| Additional information |
Year 22 of Antoninus Pius falls late in one of the longer and more administratively stable reigns of the imperial period — which is precisely why Alexandrian tetradrachms from this phase are so consistently available. The Alexandria mint maintained high output through the 150s, partly to supply Egypt's grain-driven commercial economy, and the billon content was being quietly degraded by this point relative to earlier issues in the same reign.
Milne 2316 places this among a well-documented sequence, and Dattari's numbering remains the standard reference for collectors working this series despite the catalog's age.
