| Reverse description | Draped bust of Sarapis facing right, the deity distinguished by his characteristic kalathos (modius) atop his head and a taenia (fillet) around his brow, with a full, elaborately rendered beard flowing in wavy locks over the chest. The regnal year date L ΙΖ (Year 17, corresponding to 153–154 AD) appears flanking the bust in the field, left and right respectively. The composition follows the standard Alexandrian iconographic convention for divine busts on provincial coinage. |
