| Obverse description | Laureate and cuirassed bust of Emperor Aemilian facing right, depicted from the front with detailed military attire. The effigy shows close-cropped hair beneath the laurel wreath, with the cuirass rendered in fine detail characteristic of Alexandrian provincial coinage. A circular legend in Greek characters surrounds the portrait, reading Α Κ Μ ΑΙΜΛ ΑΙΜΙΛΙΑΙΝΟΝ ΕΥϹ ΕΥΤ ϹΕΒ, abbreviating his imperial titulature. The coin displays the bold, slightly provincial style typical of the Alexandrian mint in the mid-third century AD. |
