| Obverse description | Laureate and cuirassed bust of Emperor Valerian I facing right, depicted from the front with detailed military armour visible at the shoulder. The surrounding legend reads Α Κ Π ΛΙ ΟΥΑΛΕΡΙΑΝΟϹ ΕΥ ΕΥ Ϲ, identifying the emperor with his full titulature in Greek.
