Obverse description Bare-headed and cuirassed bust of Herennius Etruscus, facing right and viewed from the rear, with paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The portrait displays the characteristic youthful features of Etruscus, son of Trajan Decius, rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style. The encircling Greek legend runs around the periphery of the flan.

Reverse description A helmeted figure, identified tentatively as Roma, standing facing left in full military attire, raising the right arm in salute and holding a long sceptre in the left hand; a paludamentum is draped over the left arm. The regnal year date L - Α (Year 1) is divided by the standing figure, L to the left and Α to the right, within a dotted border.
