| Obverse description | Draped bust of Julia Mamaea, Augusta and mother of Severus Alexander, facing right, wearing a stephane (diadem crown) and elaborately coiffured hair arranged in waves with a large crescent-shaped ornament visible above the ear. The portrait is rendered in the typical Alexandrian provincial style, with finely detailed drapery at the truncation.
