Reverse description Roma personified standing left in military attire, holding a long spear in her right hand and a parazonium (short sword) in her left hand. A round shield rests against her left leg in the field. The regnal year date, expressed as L Δ (Year 4, corresponding to 240–241 AD), appears divided on either side of the central figure, a hallmark of Alexandrian tetradrachm coinage of this period.
