Reverse description Nike, the winged goddess of Victory, seated to the left upon a throne or rock, rendered in flowing draped garments. In her extended right hand she holds a victor's wreath, while her left hand grasps a tall palm frond resting against her shoulder, both attributes symbolising imperial triumph. The date formula L Γ (regnal year 3, corresponding to 239-240 AD) appears in the left field, a hallmark of the Alexandrian dating convention.
