| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Antoninus Pius facing right, with the paludamentum visible over the shoulder. The emperor's effigy is rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style, with characteristic bold relief. The encircling legend in Greek letters reads ΑΝΤωΝΙΝΟϹ ϹΕΒ ΕΥϹΕΒ, identifying the emperor with his title Sebastos (Augustus) and his cognomen Eusebes (Pius). |
