| Obverse description | Laureate, draped bust of Antoninus Pius facing right, clad in paludamentum, with the imperial effigy rendered in the Alexandrian provincial style. The Greek legend ΑΝΤΩΝΙΝΟϹ ϹΕΒ ΕΥϹΕΒ encircles the portrait, identifying the emperor by his title Sebastos (Augustus) and the epithet Eusebes (Pius). The bust displays characteristic short beard and laureate wreath, consistent with Antonine portraiture of the mid-second century AD. |
