| Obverse description | Laureate head of Antoninus Pius facing left, with traces of drapery visible at the truncation of the neck. The emperor is depicted in the conventional Alexandrian style, with a wreath of laurel leaves encircling the head. The surrounding Greek legend reads ΑΝΤΩΝΙΝΟϹ ϹΕΒ ΕΥϹΕΒ, distributed around the periphery of the flan. The portrait exhibits the characteristic full-faced, bearded effigy standard to Antonine coinage of the Alexandrian mint. |
