Reverse description Adlocutio or adoration scene depicting Antoninus Pius, laureate and togate, seated left on a raised tribunal or platform, extending his right hand and holding a sceptre in his left. To the left, a standing male figure dressed in tunic, cloak, and trousers faces right, holding a sceptre and proffering a crown toward the emperor. To the right, a second standing male figure similarly attired faces left, raising one hand in salutation and holding a sceptre. The regnal year date L Κ (year 20) appears in the field. The composition reflects the Alexandrian mint's tradition of elaborate multi-figure civic or ceremonial reverse types.
