Reverse description Athena (or Roma) depicted seated to the left upon a throne, helmeted and draped, extending a small Nike figure in her right hand while her left hand rests upon a long spear held vertically. A large round shield is positioned below and beside her seat, a motif standard to Alexandrian civic reverses of the period. The regnal date legend L Β (Year 2, corresponding to 271–272 AD) appears in the field, serving as the primary chronological indicator on this issue. The composition is centrally placed within the beaded border of the irregularly shaped flan, consistent with the provincial workshop tradition of the Alexandrian mint.
