| Obverse description | Laureate, draped bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, rendered in the provincial Greek style with curling hair beneath the laurel wreath and a short beard characteristic of Hadrianic portraiture. The effigy is depicted with considerable sculptural depth, the drapery visible at the shoulder truncation. The circular legend ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟϹ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΟϹ runs around the field in Greek characters, identifying the emperor by name and title. The flan is irregular at the edges, typical of provincial hammered coinage of the period. |

| Reverse description | Athena, the civic goddess, stands facing left in a dignified martial pose, her right hand extended to hold a thunderbolt and her left hand grasping an upright spear. A large round shield rests against the ground at her side. The figure is rendered in the stylized manner common to provincial Greek civic types of the Hadrianic era. The legend ΥΠΑΤΟϹ Γ ΠΑΤΗΡ ΠΑΤΡ is distributed around the field in Greek script, abbreviating Hadrian's titles as consul for the third time and Father of the Fatherland. |
