| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Maximian facing right, depicted from a three-quarter rear perspective, a presentation style characteristic of late Tetrarchic coinage from the Alexandrian mint. The emperor's paludamentum is visible over the cuirass, and the laureate wreath is rendered in low relief. The surrounding field bears the Greek legend ΜΑΞΙΜΙΑΝΟϹ ϹΕΒ arranged around the periphery within a beaded border. The portraiture reflects the robust, military iconography typical of the Diocletianic reform coinage. |

| Reverse description | Homonoia, the personification of concord, standing left in flowing drapery, her right arm raised in a gesture of salutation and her left hand holding a large double cornucopia, symbol of abundance. The figure is rendered in the elongated, somewhat stylized manner typical of late Roman Alexandrian tetradrachm coinage. In the field to the right appears the workshop letter Γ (gamma), indicating the third officina of the Alexandria mint. The date regnal formula L ΕΝΑΤΟΥ, denoting Year 9 of Diocletian's reign, appears in the field. |
