Obverse description Laureate and cuirassed bust of Emperor Probus facing right, depicted from the front in the Alexandrian provincial style. The emperor's effigy is rendered with characteristic late Roman portraiture, showing the laureate wreath crowning the head and the cuirass visible at the shoulder. The encircling Greek legend reads Α Κ Μ ΑΥΡ ΠΡΟΒΟϹ ϹΕΒ, identifying the emperor by his titles as Augustus.
