| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of the emperor Hadrian facing right, portrayed in the Greek provincial style with fine facial detail and a short beard. The effigy shows the emperor's characteristic physiognomy with a slightly idealized profile. The Greek legend ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟϹ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΟϹ surrounds the bust in the field. The flan is irregular, as typical of provincial hammered coinage of the period. |
