| Obverse description | Radiate and cuirassed bust of Emperor Carinus facing right, with short beard rendered in granular style, the paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The effigy is portrayed in the characteristic Alexandrian tetradrachm style, with bold modelling of the facial features.
