Obverse description Laureate head of the emperor Hadrian facing right, with possible light drapery or aegis visible on the left shoulder. The portrait is rendered in the characteristic provincial style of Pontic civic coinage, with fine facial detailing. The surrounding field carries the imperial titulature in Greek characters arranged as a circular legend. The flan is irregular in shape, as typical of hand-struck provincial issues of this period.
