| Obverse description | Bare-headed bust of Emperor Marcus Aurelius, draped and cuirassed, facing right, with curly hair rendered in the characteristic Antonine style. The imperial effigy is depicted in profile with naturalistic portraiture typical of provincial Roman coinage. A partial Greek legend encircles the bust, with the alpha characters notably rendered in the form of lambda (Λ). The flan is irregular and slightly convex, consistent with provincial hammered silver coinage of the Antonine period. |

| Reverse description | Standing figure of Iustitia (Dikaiosyne) facing left, rendered in full length in classical drapery. She holds a set of scales in her extended right hand and a cornucopia in her left arm, symbolising justice and abundance. The figure occupies the central field of the flan, with a Greek legend distributed around the periphery. The inscription reads ΥΠΕΡ ΝΙΚΗϹ ΡΩΜΑΙΩΝ, invoking victory for Rome, with the alpha again rendered in the distinctive lambda form characteristic of this Carrhae issue. |
