Reverse description Facing bust of the nimbate Emperor Constantine XI Palaeologos, crowned and wearing the imperial loros, presented in a frontal hieratic pose within a beaded inner circle. The emperor is depicted in full Byzantine imperial regalia, consistent with late Palaeologan numismatic convention. The Christogram legend IC - XC flanks the imperial bust in the field, identifying the divine patronage of the ruler. The surrounding border of dots frames the composition on this irregularly shaped hammered flan.
