Vima Kadphises is almost exclusively known for his gold and copper coinage — the gold dinars in particular were struck in enormous quantities and define the Kushan monetary profile of his reign. A silver drachm is a genuine outlier. The Kushan empire had no sustained silver coinage tradition at this period, and examples attributed to Vima are rare enough that the series remains poorly understood, with Senior's classification still representing the working framework rather than a settled typology.
